It's only ****dollars!

Do you have any annoying local businesses with goofy commercials on TV where you live? We have plenty here that's for sure. The car dealers seem the worst most desperate.....dragging out their dogs, grandkids, you name it. One guy in Brevard/Orlando area does a whole series of commercials with himself in triplicate....with his name underneath saying" ____ ____ Owners". I am still trying to figure that out....I could see if he did it once or twice as a joke....but this has been going on for several years......I just don't get it. Another company we all know and love.....to imitate is Appliance Direct.......constantly running a 10 insert number here
day only deal......with some lady who has been wearing the same green.....or yellow plaid dress for the last 3 or more years. Apparently she's not selling enough appliances! Then there's the Mattress Barn guy who does his commercial with a cartoon character of himself alongside him.......again...it was cute....but for year after year after year??????
We have the lawyer lady who is out to impress us by standing next to a big motorcycle in her office......but she is starting to get on my nerves, partly because she is on every other minute.....
or rather BECAUSE she seems to be on every other minute...
The worst offenders lately are the ones with the cute I guess children pitching their wares. We have the one little girl.who is kind of cute that started out as soon as she could talk...trying to help her grandfather sell cars. He recently passed away...but now she's on with her father. I don't really have a problem with that....they seem to be having fun together and she gets to wear all her cute little dresses, etc...but again these commercials are on over and over and over again...until you really don't care to see them again!
However they must be working because some new commercials along the same line recently popped up....a friend tile distributor recently got his three kids in on the act....sort of a cross between the girl on the car commercial and the Appliance Direct lady......which unfortunately is more annoying than anything. And then this morning...I saw the best one of all.....a car salesman with a ventriloquist dummy making the sales pitch. you can't be serious! My first thought was he was poking fun at the other people having their kids pitch the products....since the puppet was dressed kind of like the little girl( in her cowboy get-up) on the car commercials. at least I got a laugh out of that one.... and can just imagine what Jenifer would say about it....(Jen would've been 46 years old today....we miss you Jenifer!)...

In case your wondering....I really don't sit and watch TV all day...just the local weather/news in the morning before work.....and my one or two shows a night during the week. What will they come up with next??
