and slide. I was tempted...but while the water was warm (heated) the air was a little chilly...and I just didn't feel like being all wet.
Try as I might to organize these photos...I would've been up all night trying to get them in order...and I figured no one really cares! So.... they are in no particular order For instance I am starting with these shots of the fireworks that we took from the boardwalk area after our dinner.I kind of like the way the second one turned out...almost like I planned it...haha
cool bridge that you walk over if you're not floating under it...haha to get to the Beach Club/Yacht Club Hotel area from the "Boardwalk" As you can see...it was a beautiful day.
When we walked over to the bakery for breakfast on Sunday morning...the birds were about...just waiting for an unsuspecting person to hold out their croissant long enough for one of the seagulls to snatch it up! This one was "staring" at me...making me a tad nervous.
actually...John took this one
After we ate we walked around past the Beach Club and Yacht Club hotels. I would love to stay there sometime...but I will have to win the lottery...which will be difficult since I don't play...haha A couple took our picture for us.
They were staying with their grandchildren. They live in New York, have a home in Phoenix Az and were on their way to their place in Naples.
Years ago when the Beach Club/Yacht Club first opened...we went over with friends to hang out at the pool. Very cool...sand bottom pool and a GREAT slide that looks like a shipwreck. It was fun. Soon after that they changed the "rules" so that only guests of the hotel are allowed to use the facilities...which makes perfect sense...otherwise people from every other hotel (like us) would be there!
Everything around the hotel is picture perfect...for instance these flowers on top of the trash cans.
My favorite restaurant...The Flying Fish...but we couldn't get in. We had a great dinner at Shula's Steakhouse.
At night they have entertainers doing tricks, skits, games along the boardwalk, Sometimes they have music and contests (hula hoop) . They also have arcade style games. If you sit there long enough you end up playing.
John spotted this prize...and decided he was going to have to win it for Brenna. He did!
It really was fun...I love it there and can't wait til I have a reason to return.
